The bloody ploughman is an old variety. The fruit is blood red in appearance with knobbly skin. The flesh is pink when fully ripened. The fruit is juicy and has a sweet flavour. Although this apple is classified as an eating apple it is probably more suitable for cooking.

When will my tree be ready?

Barefoot trees are available for delivery or collection from our tree nursery during their dormant period, Mid November until late March. Any trees purchased after this peroid can be reserved until the next available season.

Potted trees are available for collection all year round during normal working hours.
